Call to Arms 2014 is officially go! Despite the risk of a few puddles in the car park I’m assured Theale is well above sea level and the Thames Valley flood plain.

The postcode for your sat-navs is RG7 5DA. Take a peek at it on Google Maps if you’re not familiar with the site.

Our official public opening time is 10:00. We are aiming to have all club tables ready between 08:30 and 09:00, but I am sure you all appreciate that we must give first priority to the traders who have to bring in their stock. If you arrive early, you may wish to wait in the canteen to the left of the main car park where our caterers the Astronomy Club will be setting up. I’m told their rates are very reasonable, but they’ll also be planning for a 10:00 start so you may wish to bring a thermos.

If the car park fills up there’s more hard standing at the far end of the site, but bearing in mind that the ground will be very boggy I would warn against parking on the grass around the site even if you have a table in the gym. Please leave the access roads clear for trader’s vans, as they will need to reach the doors at the back.

Our nominal closing time is 17:00, but we expect the show to be very quiet in the afternoon.   Looking forward to seeing you all at the show,
